M1014

The M1014 is a high-powered shotgun that excels in close quarters due to its higher rate of fire than that of the Remington 870 (Flashlight). Be warned that the M1014 is louder then the Remington 870 (Flashlight) despite having the same audible range for zombies. This makes it easier for players to find the location of the shooter.

Able to use both 8Rnd. Slugs, and 8Rnd. Pellets, the M1014's range varies. By using the slug ammunition it can reach effectively out to 200 meters by sacrificing damage, while the pellets reach only 40 meters with the benefit of more power.

Both the M1014 and the Remington 870 (Flashlight) share the same ammunition - and have similar stats - so don't hesitate to switch one for the other if you're going to need it for night raids.

Each pellet does 2000 damage. Full details are on the pellet magazine database page.

I don't quite understand the damage stats... so do the slugs do 4500 damage and does 1 pellet do 2000? If so how many pellets does it shoot (with one shot)?

So, surprisingly, after nearly 8 months of not using this gun, I decided to pick one up and play bandit for a while. The results were surprising. I stayed at the top of a tall tower and sniped random survivors using pellets. What I discovered was that apparently, at long distance (200m +), the pellets kill in one shot. I got 6 successive kills shooting at people really far away, making pellets rain on them by shooting in an arc, and they all died at the first pellet that hit them.

This weapon is suddenly a whole lot of fun

This gun is the second best shotgun to the Remington I think. The Remington's flashlight totally makes up for the slightly slower reload time and, in my opinion, slightly worse iron sights.

I found 2 of these, both times went to pick them up and crashed... just a warning.

Swapped my Remington for this because of the benefits of more ammo but found that it was a lot louder than the Remington. Even though on here it says they both have the same audible range.
