This page contains information about the mod version of DayZ. Standalone information is available here.

The C-130J is definitely the largest plane in ArmA II and so in DayZ. Currently, it has no fix spawnpoints, but it has been seen on many "Bliss" servers.

Although the C-130J is the greatest plane in DayZ it is not difficult to fly. Basically it works quiete the same like a normal plane, the only difference is its long start distance. So if you try to start it, make sure you have enough space.

At the moment there is no reparing-plan known.

If this had 1000 inventory slots and 200 weapon slots, I'd touch it. But so far, All it is is a one way trip where you take off, go fly somewhere quickly, and then jump out and watch it crash. It's really sad it doesn't because then i'd tuck it away somewhere safe, like on a highway on the top of the map. I'd love for this thing to have more power, or even to put the variant of it (AC-130) with the Bofors 40mm, the Howitzer 120mm (Big bad Mofo of a cannon) and the 25mm mini-gun. It has so much potential, but there is no use for it in game, other than to fly around then {ahem} "land" it.

This is a big f*cker. A massive plane. That's really the only thing to say about it. If you find a C-130J, make sure that you got enough space to take off. And remember, it's massive.

You can deploy flaps to take off on shorter runways, keep altitude with slower speeds and land with slower speeds.

Remember to try it out in the Armory if you're new to piloting in arma 2.

Why the hell is this even in DayZ? The Osprey would make much more sense to have.

If you're thinking of flying one of these, make sure you're at least at 200kph before you start to lift off. Once you've got it in the air it's easy to fly around, and if you want to land, slow down to about 150 and make sure you leave plenty of space to land it. One of the biggest problems I see is people turning it around on a runway and getting it stuck against some trees or a building, as none of the planes can reverse.

Can some one do a tutorial on this, please.

Many times I have seen one of these it was suiciding into a player, that being said it is still fun to fly around, but if you can't land it...

For a new player: This plane has the same flying ability as a house

And this thing can carry 2-3 tanks in real life, but in DayZ it can only carry 20 beans (or 20 Colas, 20 wheels etc)
